In the Middle of Covid Pandemic – 19, Bank Sampoerna Held Virtual Bityhalal Halal

Moment of Eid al-Fitr 1441 H would be incomplete without hospitality or known as halal bi halal. Even though we are still in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic, this halal bi halal moment still took place, although it was a little different from usual. This was done by Bank Sahabat Sampoerna (Bank Sampoerna). This activity did not only strengthen friendship, but also to reconnect management and all employees who mostly have been working for almost three months at home. No less than 200 employees throughout Indonesia attended the virtual meeting with the Board of Management (BOM)using the zoom application on Monday, June 15, 2020. The event was also filled with a brief presentation delivered by the Independent Commissioner of Bank Sampoerna, Mr. Adiwarman Karim.

In his brief presentation, Mr. Ali Rukmijah, President Director of Bank Sampoerna, conveyed to all employees related to the current pandemic condition, in order to maintain their health, to often wash their hands and continue to comply with established health protocols.

Another case with Mr. Adiwarman who gave a little speech about the meaning of halal bi halal in this pandemic. He said that we should all remain grateful with conditions like this and don’t be worry too much, because there is still God who always protects us all. As usual, he always gives questions by distributing cash as gifts.

With some quizzes guided by the committee and questions from participants directly answered by Mr. Ali, making this event has more interactions between management and employees even though only held through virtual zoom.
